- 1/2 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and chili garlic sauce in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Season sliced steak with garlic, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add shrimp to the pan and cook until pink and just cooked through, about 2 minutes per side.
- Return steak to the pan. Pour in the sauce and stir to coat evenly.
- Let simmer 1–2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly and glazes the meat.
- Serve over rice or noodles. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- You can double the sauce and refrigerate half for a quick second batch later.
- Adjust the spice by adding or reducing the chili garlic sauce to your liking.
- This recipe also works with tofu, mushrooms, or chicken.
